Teaching Archaeology to African American Children
Maisha Washington
is the Administrator of Education at the Banneker-Douglass Museum in Annapolis,
Maryland. A former teacher, Washington now spends her days educating other
teachers and creating and managing educational programs.
She recently worked
with the children from her archaeological workshop at the Kunta Kinte
Heritage Festival in Annapolis where the children demonstrated their newly
acquired skills to thousands of adults and children.
