Urban Adventure Kit - Food Edition

Carla Hall

  • Q:Do I need to purchase a separate box for each member of my household?
A: No. A household could share a box and have a great time. But if each person wants their own swag and food samples, then you may want to purchase additional boxes.
  • Q: How do I get to each destination?
A: You may walk, bike, drive, or take public transportation. All locations are Metro accessible.
  • Q: How long will it take me to complete the entire adventure?
A: This is a self-guided outing to complete at your own pace. However, you must complete all the challenges by December 31st.
  • Q: Are there certain times I should go to these locations?
A: Most destinations do have opening/closing hours to be aware of. These instructions will be included in the kit.
  • Q: How long does each of the five activities take?
A: We anticipate that once you arrive, each stop will take up to 30 minutes to experience. Or explore each neighborhood and make a day of it! Cooking challenges may take up to an hour.
  • Q: Is this experience ok for kids?
A: Yes! If your kiddos like solving puzzles, exploring new places, and are interested in learning about Carla Hall’s life journey as a chef, this will be fun for the whole family. Best for ages 8 and up, but younger ones may still enjoy exploring.
  • Q: Are the locations able to accommodate my dietary restrictions?
A: All locations serve an array of different foods and alternative options for people with dietary restrictions depend on each business.
  • Q: How can I access chef Carla Hall's story if I'm deaf or hard-of-hearing?
A: All QR codes link to both the story's audio track and their corresponding transcript.
