Three Generations of African American Women Sculptors: A Study in Paradox

Location: Arts and Industries Building, South Hall

Works by 10 artists trace the history of sculpture into the present. Artists represented include Mary Edmonia Lewis (c. 1843-1912), May Howard Jackson (1877-1931), Meta Vaux Warrick Fuller (1877-1968), Selma Burke, Elizabeth Catlett, and Geraldine McCullough.
