- Series 1: Writings contains writings, correspondence, notes, and speeches by Gordon about her life and work, Labat family history, and her friendship with Labat. The letter to Norman Francis recounts a story told to her by Labat. This series also contains a piece on transcribing and editing the recorded interviews. Material in this series is housed in Box 1.
