- Josephine Wharton describes how she became involved with the Anacostia Neighborhood Museum (now Anacostia Community Museum) after she retired, by serving as a docent. She discusses the impact the museum had on the neighborhood and Southeast Washington DC, especially on young students. She also talks about John Kinard's leadership, the joys of working as a docent, and how the museum has changed over time. The interview was conducted on December 12, 1991.
