News announcer states the official opening of the Anacostia Neighborhood Museum (ANM) on September 15, 1967. He describes the mission and creation of ANM as a "combination of museum, community center, arts and crafts workshop, recreation center" as well as ANM's relationship with the hardworking community of Anacostia. The news report closes with the announcement of Jamaican poet and folklorist Louise Bennett's performance at ANM on October 19.
