Scope and Contents: This collection includes news programs, television shows, and music recorded from local and national radio and television broadcasts as well as prerecorded programs, such as The Negro Texans and Alex Haley Lecture for the Doubleday Lecture Series. Anacostia Community Museum does not hold the copyright of the broadcast programs and prerecorded programs in this collection. Content includes news coverage of Anacostia and Washington, DC events; announcements about and coverage of the Anacostia Neighborhood Museum events; broadcasts of Martin Luther King, Jr's speeches; interviews with civil right leaders; and short documentaries.
