Scope and Contents
This collection of historical newspapers spans from 1784-1946, the bulk from 1820-1885. The majority of issues are from the National Republican and The Southern Press Daily newspapers. The Virginia Journal and Alexandria Advertiser Vol. I N0.1, 1784 is the earliest paper in the collection.
