Caption
This etching produced by Percy Martin as a wedding invitation joins the sinuous shape of a tree with urban motifs such as the brickwork in the upper left corner. The composition bears his signature style, in which the urban landscape is transformed into a mythic world he called “Bushworld.” The card invites a community to gather at a similar nature-urban crossroads: beneath an apple tree on a city street.
