- This round pinback button promotes Rev. Jesse Jackson's PUSH for Excellence initiative. The PUSH Excel program is part of the Rainbow PUSH Coalition led by Jackson, fighting for social justice. It was founded in 1975 to inspire inner-city youths to strive for excellence in education. The button features a cartoonish depiction of an owl against a black and yellow background. Yellow and black text printed on top reads "PÜSH / for / Excellence / Says / Rev. Jesse / Jackson".
