This round pinback button promoted Harold Brazil’s 1990 candidacy for the Council of the District of Columbia. The pin reads “Brazil ’90 / Ward 6” in white lettering against a blue background. Brazil was elected to represent Ward 6 and later served as an at-large member until 2005.
The button is among more than 200 collected by longtime Anacostia resident and social justice advocate Howard Croft.
