This round pinback button expressed Jesse Jackson’s supporters’ wish for him to run in the 1992 presidential elections. The pin reads “Run Jesse Run ‘92” in blue and red lettering against a yellow background. Jackson run in the Democratic primaries of 1984 and 1988 but declined to enter the race for a third time.
The button is among more than 200 collected by longtime Anacostia resident and social justice advocate Howard Croft.
