Gift of the Family of Howard Croft
This round pinback button was worn by members of PATCO, the Professional Air Traffic Controllers Organization infamously decertified following a major strike in August 1981. The pin features the union’s logo in blue against a yellow background, below a gray scale drawing of a raised fist gripping electrical cords and equipment.
The button is among more than 200 collected by longtime Anacostia resident and social justice advocate Howard Croft.
