This round pinback button commemorated the 100th anniversary of The Washington Post newspaper. The pin features the publication’s logo at the center in blue, surrounded by red lettering reading “Our Centennial Year / 1977”. The milestone was celebrated in an informal gathering with employees and their families.
The button is among more than 200 collected by longtime Anacostia resident and social justice advocate Howard Croft.
