Corona Haiku Series

Haiku

To honor National Poetry Month in April 2020, I created a daily Corona Haiku series, posting a new piece to match each day of the month.
I chose most of the images from my own photo archives, and also included a few from my husband, John, and my friend,  David, to complement every 17-syllable piece for 30 days. My mission was to document those chaotic, traumatic and deadly weeks as they unfolded. This project represents a play-by-play response to COVID-19 as it made its insidious way across the globe and firmly landed into the physical, emotional and social worlds of those of us living in America.
